i had a dream o.o

you sing songs of  how we are today

of how we were yesterday

and how we will be tomorrow

you pluck the strings

of once upon a time's

and paint the pictures

of ever after's

and i listen to you

to the sounds you make

the stories you share

and the dreams you have

of you and me

yet your songs fade

and your stories end

and you awake to reality

and were's still here

still stuck in the place

between used to be's

and what if's

...that's where we'll ever be

no cooperation o.o

sand glass

we sail along the oceans
fighting waves
our ship's page fulfills his duty
keeping time
while time is fleeting
like sand through the hourglass

jugglers

our efforts might be
just poor attempts at manipulation
throwing torches in the air
put on weary eyes
and watch them crash and burn

mind's afloat

i was afraid that you would see me
afraid that beneath my thousand masks
you will find the face
with a broken smile
i just wanted to be great
for you
for us
i competed with the idea
of the one, the perfect one
but then you said you didn't want that
you asked for me
however broken i may be

you need to know
i didn't want to wear that dress
let alone let me see you in it
because, again, i was afraid
that seeing me that way
would make you think twice
in that dress, i was more naked than i've ever been
and yet you smiled
and your eyes sparkled
like nothing else mattered
like i was all that you could see

it’s sad

because i’m overflowing with happiness

 

as true as it is that wells dry up

they also, i realized, overflow

 

but what use would it be

if there’s nobody to catch

the water as it flows from the well

into nothingness

 

such is my heart

overflowing with joy

and out it goes

into nothingness

into silence

 

because the world has no use

for my joy… not now…

 

i wonder how long it

will take until…

 

i don’t know…

soon… i can only hope

under the sky devoid of
light
take my hand and stay

by the river and its
silent rush
come and sing a song
with me

come darkness and loss
of the water flowing
stay with me

as days and night
come into sight
please flaunt your
heart's resplendent beauty

my ashes fly through the midnight storm
my ashes fly with a love forlorn

there was fear in your words
fear that you didn't want me to see
or feel
or notice
those words meant nothing
used separately
but together
they meant everything
i had fear too
of hearing the uncertainty
of believing the lie
i saw the fear
but i rode on with the pretenses
because i had faith
and something else
something you said you felt for me
one i never felt from you
but my words could mean nothing
for all it's worth let me say that I
never thought that love could hurt...

straight circles

to you i bid hello
just a friendly gesture
fit for our little meeting
you must be tired
exhausted from all the work you have to do
or maybe you are enjoying
getting to know all those people
taking them places
i don't think they give you much credit
it's tiring, what you do
circling the globe
searching for that one person you have to meet
for that moment
a lot of people refuse to listen, i know
and then you would have to use force

rivers rushing against the banks
birds chirping in their flights
children squealing in joy

    trying to break free from its chain
a close proximity; not so distant after all
yet... you don't hear me
you are deaf to the sounds I make
to my angry rivers when you fail to notice
to the hopeful birds when I pray that you'll see
to my inner child, happy when you pay mind
you stand in front of me
but you only listen to the sounds you want to hear
    far away... far, far away...
